Just A Memory

by S R P   May 1, 2006

When I left I cried
for all the lost time
I thought I could hold
through the bitter cold..

I thought maybe once
I could be someone
someone more
than just a bitter memory.

I just want to know
if this is my fate
will you think of me fondly
or will you look upon me with hate?

Will you remember the times
that we laughed and we cried
the song that we danced to
once upon a time.

I don't want to be
just a memory
just a memory of the times
the childhood I lost
I don't want to be that memory..
I just want you to remember..
remember me..

I love the way you paint the words in my mind and reach out for my soul. Keep it up.
