So I Slit My Wrist

by Nick Hanshaw   May 3, 2006

As i sit and watch my blood
drip to the floor so solemly
i pull over my head the black hood
of my hoody so dispitefuly

i feel such sadness only i can feel
the life slipping away just as thy love
and notice in the distance someting real
ohh so real something like that of a dove

i hold the dove in my hands and shove it away
fly little birdy fly as i watch thee die
die right in front as i say wat a lovely day
as blood colors cover the once beautiful sky

my hatred for all consumes me
as i find salvation in something calld love
and i take that love and cut to be free
and i remember the dove

how it had died even though so beautiful
and i cant stop this pain
even with such looks so pitiful
i cant stop all this rain

and as the blood red rain runs over my head
i want something so bad
i wish the feelings the feelings of the dead
i wish for something i soon will have

So I Slit My Wrist

I liked this poem a lot. There were many different emotions entailed in it and the images you conjured in my head were vivid. The only thing is you misspelled called. 5/5
