Rainbow Fragile

It drifted down the horizon
That beautiful butterfly of mine
Wings of purest diamonds
Spread over breezes so fine

To thin to glimmer
But still it caught the gold
Light reflected over water
In waves the shine it would roll

To small to matter
But big enough to catch
To little to notice
To your shoe it might attach

So it will flee
Just fly away
Explain why it left
I never have to say

I watch my beautiful butterfly
And wish that it was me
To be able to run to my angel so far away
So we can finally be
