Hometown

by Lady C   Mar 6, 2008

These words I tell with a bitter tone
Bitter they are cause of the memories it holds
Memories that I never wanted to remember

The city is beautiful to look at
But, so are you
And you have showed me that looks can be deceiving
That it can not be trusted

But I did trust you
And you smiled as took it away
Smiled in your twisted way

Yes, my town is pretty
It can warm you in the summertime,
And hold you close in the winter,
It’s everything I ever wanted
But since you came around,
It has never felt like home
