Life as a Road

by alex   May 10, 2006

.The Road of My Life.

.As i travel through my life,
i travel on my road,
my road of which has everything,
my road consists of hot and cold.

.My road has hills and drops,
my road has memories and regrets,
my road has openings and locks,
my road has all, for it is complex.

.My road consists of twists and turns,
my soul is taking note as along the way it learns.

.My road experiences dead ends,
and rarely has a smooth cross,
because often in my life the road is rough,
experiencing pain and loss.

.But as many times my road has stopped,
never have i too,
for i know this road is made for traveling,
and that is just what i shall do

A very good poem, I liked it muchly, especially the subject and the message. I'm going to make a suggestion that you absoloutely DON'T have to follow....maybe you could experiment with what would happen if you didn't try so hard to rhyme. (?) Just a thought :).
