Words I Remember

Your death brought tears to my eyes,
Your touch still deeply lingers,
Your smile still lights my day,
Though you're far away,

To the heavens you flew too soon,
Now the mouths won't stop screaming,
This angel she prays,
To see you again one day,

Words I whisper waiting for you,
To come take me away,
Through the darkness and profound light,
Fulfilling dreams late into the night,

Holding the thought your still here,
About to hug me or kiss goodbye,
To voices still within my mind,
Waiting to hear them over in time,

As hope diminishes your existence,
My fear becoming reality,
Skin turning from black to pale blue,
These words I render, I love you.
