He looks at her but doesnt see

The pain she is feeling just trying to break free

he sees the scars but she cannot tell

the story of a girl who suddenly fell

into a world of dark and fright

and when her wrist hit the blade one night

she cannot explain the hurt she feels

the scars a release for the pain she deals

he looks at her and smiles strong

not knowing something is terribly wrong

he looks at her but doesnt see

the pain she is feeling just trying to break free
