A Last Chance

by smile   May 15, 2006

Don't go,
I need you here.
I rest wondering...
What went wrong?
I, myself, slipped into this noose,
Dressing my throat.
Again and again i think of you,
The cord tightens,
Vivid images flash before my closing eyes,
Sharpe blades digging deep within my iris,
You drive the blades further and futher into my mind,
Sparing no thoughts or feelings,
As i'm painfully given
A Last Chance.

i'd die to be with my one true love, i'd live my life over and over again if only it meant we'd we be together, again.
i'd like to think he would too.

Really loved this poem, especially because my own situation is so similar, got that one love of my life who's chances i all blew and everyday i live just wanting her back, and i die a little every time she comes to mind. you wrote this perfectly for anyone who knows what this is like.
