The World Will Never Notice You

by Sarah Ann   Jun 3, 2006

Life is not hard, but pain -it hurts
The sympathetic smiles, they never work
The friends all talking never care
The world refuses -you're not there

You think its working, time is right
And study hard with all your might
To succeed in school is your one goal
Yet the grades you wanted seem to fall

And parents refuse to understand
At times you want that helping hand
You reach out in air, beseeching a grasp
And they glare like you've never asked

Ah, friends? Who ever thought of such?
Bruto killed Caesar with one touch
As friends today can kill with words
They listen but they've never heard

All those pretending they were there
Ends up that no one ever cares
Promises are false, so is the world
This thought its true, not of absurd

You try to think but it's all wrong
Your weakness overcome your strong
And now you comprehend the truth
No one cares just to be there for you

^^ I can't tell you how many times I write stuff like that in my poems...its serious...I've been heartbroken so many times from what friends say to me and they fail to realize it....sadly this poem speaks the truth but you've represented the truth very well! I enjoyed this read and the way you write, it was a pleasure!
