First Kiss

by Jessica   Jun 4, 2006

As we stood watching the sunset
The sand between our toes
The clear waters flowing against our legs
And not a sound to disturb
This magical moment

You turn to look at me
Your eyes sparkle,
Your long hair blows
In the gentle breeze,
And you place your soft hands
On the back of my neck

You pull me towards you
And lightly touch my lips
It sends shivers up my spine
And my eyes glitter with excitement

I open my mouth slightly
And our playful tongues
Caress each other
As you hold me tight
My heart melts into a puddle of joy

As we share our very first kiss
The crystal water flows up against us
The sun sets on the beautiful world
And we float away
Into the everlasting sea of our love..

Very sweet poem indeed. I can definitely feel the magic in the air... A couple of comments if I may... first, "waters" should be "water" and second, the last 2 sentence of the first stanza doesn't sound quite right... you may want to consider the following...

As we stood watching the sunset
    With sand between our toes
And clear water flowing against our legs
Time froze for a magical moment
And not a sound to disturb

Overall... it was a good write. 5/5
