Too Much To Hide

Standing strong and faking a smile
That night is all became too much to hide
Her trust was down, her guard was low
Mentally she was about to blow

She smashed her phone and fell to the ground
He picked her up, her lips he found
She pushed him back and tried to run
But at the end of the night, she knew he\'d won

Her friends watched on, still unaware
Of the pain on her wrists she\'d have to bare
She was broken inside, He had no self-control
Her heart feared of what was about to be stole

Pushing her down, he unzipped his fly
Ignoring all her pleas and cries
Holding her in his arms, he says its ok
She gains the strength to push him away

She feels all the guilt, while he is to blame
She cannot hide the sadness and shame
While her best friend says it was assault,
The others hate her and say its her fault

No-one understands what she went through that night
They laugh in her face as she holds herself tight
She picks up a blade, making marks on her wrists
No worse then her bruises from emotional fists

Standing strong and faking a smile,
