Can't Except the Facts

by Meggie33   Jun 13, 2006

I don't understand,
why you took her from me,
I don't get why she had to go,
and why she had to leave.

She wasn't young, or healthy,
but I was her whole world,
she didn't see my life go on,
she didn't see my life as it unfurled.

I still don't get why she went,
why she had to go away,
explain why she left me,
and why she couldn't stay.

The facts aren't enough,
where is your dear sympathy?
I cannot get why you took her,
why you took her from me.

Just because she was ill,
just because she was old,
why'd you have to take her,
just as my life began to unfold.

It doesn't make sense,
the facts aren't enough,
for somebody as weak as I,
it's hard to act bold and tough.

I agree, if it were more descriptive it would be better, in the second stanza i sounds more like you died instead of her.

Pretty good, though it would be better if you describe what's happening more. Keep it up
