Black Rose Letter

by MissAlotta   Jun 14, 2006

He left a goodbye note card at my door
As my heart wrenched in bitter pain
He left one black, bended rose too
Leaving me without having to explain

Bending the black rose even more
I watched it tear apart from each other
I felt a tear trickle down my cheek
Until it kept cascading one after another

I couldn't stand to read the note card
From the person I couldn't live without
I felt I couldn't breath when he was gone
As my heart and soul screamed to get out

Instead of reading the note card he left
I through it into the blazing, red fire
I went up to my room and locked the door
Forgetting all about the one i had desire

The paper had shriveled in the raging flames
Eating away the only words left from him
The only chance I could have known
If we both have felt together that whim

I sat alone in the dark corner of my room
Collapsed in my arms is where I hid
My love is lost forever, did he love me?
I'll have to die to find out if he did

You are a really good poet, I wish I was half as good as you are.
