Scream

I feel a scream building up inside of me.
Starting from my gut, moving up...slowly, with intense purpose.
I can feel it stinging the back of my throat...pressing, pressing, wanting to be let out.
I can already hear it...ringing in my ears...echoing through my brain.
I can taste it on my tongue, sour, burning...it's ready to spill out.
Here it comes....I can't stop it...I don't want to.
Do you hear it?
Bursting through my clenched teeth...assaulting anyone who cares to listen.
I am screaming at the top of my lungs.
But I am silent.
