So Close, Yet So Far

by Joy   Jun 16, 2006

I can feel it,
I see it in your eye,
You want it too,
But you're letting it pass by.

Your hand moves slightly,
And I hope for the best,
It's moving closer to me,
But you just lay it on the arm rest.

Why can't you admit it,
I know you want it too,
You're so close, yet so far,
I hate this hell you put me through.

All I can do is pray,
And hope with all my heart,
That you love me back,
So we could have a start.

My heart jumps again,
Your hand is right there,
I'm about to take a big risk,
And go through with this dare.

**Blah this sucks but I dunno you kind of have that sense of "foreboding" at the end...only in a good way...not impending evil. Makes you wonder if she grabs his hand or if she chickens out last second??**
