The Glass is Half Empty

by Colby   Jun 23, 2006

The glass is half empty
Sitting in the moonlight
I take another sip
This time it wont be alright

I'm still sitting alone
I try not to be scared
It only seems to get colder
I just wish she would have cared

It's getting so dark
As the minutes fade
Each burning tear
Reminds I've been betrayed

The stars that used to shine so bright
Are now covered by a thick cloud
I have no light to see by
But I can still hear thoughts screaming loud

Midnight warps into a sunrise
I go to take a drink
But I'm troubled to find
The glass is empty

I liked this poem. It was sad and very meaningful. The flow was very rhythmic. It was a great piece to read. I also want to say thanks for your comment. But anyway, keep writing, you have plenty of talent to share with the world. Whatever your experiences have been that have caused you to write with such emotion, I am sorry for, because we all go through life, searching for the answers. And we all get hurt. Anyway, hope you're doing okay. :) Maybe soon, the glass will be half full. ;)
