You are still beautiful

by arunima gautam   Jun 24, 2006

I see my eyes following your shadows, all those elements of your presence still lingers deep into my soul,
You are not extinct from my heart, not gone from the world you are still the god of,
It is like a dream I know, and the reflection of my prayers are the colors of its existence,
And as I wake up to the world where my love still seems like a distant dream, I know you are still beautiful!

Only last day you were all splashed in the colors of the divine happiness and you still are, I live in that one shadow of yours,
The religion that you are to me, the unsaid prayer I have said always in the dark of night.
You are the world I bury all my dreams in; you are the beauty of my soul,
And deep in my heart I know for sure, you are still beautiful!

You are nothing that I have ever known, you are my faith, my hope, my love in deep,
There isno place else I belong; I know that well but I do not know where I will end up.
Green grass and the white tent that I found you into last night, is it a rendezvous,
Or is it dream that lives into me as I breathe, the only emotion so wonderful,
And through all these times, through it all, i know you are still beautiful!

In the glow of your ecstasy, is there any shade of sorrow that I own to be the savior of,
I pray there's not a moment you are sad, but who can travel a road and not deal darkness?
How can I be there if you don't feel empty inside?
My arrival is destined through those deep layers buried in our time.
And as the eternity sees my pain and somehow stands so silently still,
Amidst this lull, between those moments of divinity, you are still beautiful!
