Perfection seekers

by Melissa   Jun 26, 2006

There are no souls without substance
in need of a torso
to call their own,
no voices without songs
that need sung,
no laughter without jokes
that need a punchline,
there is no one we have to be

Everybody has a nice body
to someone...

Searching flimsy yellow pages
for plastic faces
and golden barbie doll limbs
proves your human,
but the scalpel only makes beauty artificial
not perfect, nor admirable
just designed with bloody weapons
under fluorescent light bulbs
and that ain't gonna be me, man...

I love it!!!!! The way you go from so serious to almost slapstick-ish without killing the message is awesome.
It could be my lack of sleep (cause I haven't been to bed yet) but that last line cracked me up.
Stay strong and don't give in and go under the knife! You are perfect the way God made you, outstanding message.
Oh and the way you describe the tools used to do plastic surgery...Eeeek! That's terrifying.
Take care and keep it up~Holly
