Wonderland

by *:.~Lauren~.:*   Feb 25, 2004

In my field of marshmallow clouds and candy lullaby’s,
People stop for a second,
To think and realize,
That maybe the world’s not what it seems,
That the only way you can be happy,
Is when you think about your dreams.

Maybe Alice isn’t the only one with a Wonderland, [[I’m not what you want]]
Stop thinking so hard,
And maybe you’d understand, [[try to understand]]
Trying so hard to be who you want me to be,
But I’m falling apart,
And you don’t see.

Wake up,
It’s done,
I won’t change for you,
I’m not about to be someone different,
Just because you want me to,
So get a grip and say goodbye,
This time I promise I’ll be okay,
I’ll try not to cry.

You’re wanting me,
Like I wanted you,
But I can’t go back,
Just because you want me to,
Falling apart,
Missing puzzle pieces,
To my heart,
Take my hand,
Lead me through,
Our world is crumbling around us,
And I’m missing you.

I wanted you to hold me,
Call me baby through the night,
“Everything will be okay,” you said,
“Everything will be all right”,
But look at me now,
What am I supposed to do?
Guess I just wasn’t supposed to keep falling,
Falling deep in love with you.

My Wonderland…
