My Ship Has Sailed

by Twisted Heart   Jul 3, 2006

My ship has sailed without me
My numbered days are spent
It's not on the horizon
I don't know where it's went

It came awhile ago
So I went home to pack
But it left while I was gone
And It's not coming back

I thought my time was endless
I saw no need for speed
So I flittered here and there
No warnings did I heed

Now here I am in limbo
Between the land and sea
I haven't any options
At least none come to me

I could take a plane today
Parachute upon It's deck
Or have a speed boat carry me
But just my luck they'd wreck

I guess that I'll just stay here
And pray that I will find
Some sort of consolation
Within the hands of time

Probably the wrong catergory for your poem I would consider it more a miscellaneous piece however its a great write all the same, just didnt make me laugh at all - I think you should recatergorise it :o)
