Invisible

by PassingAngel   Jul 3, 2006

Am I invisible to you?
Do you even see me at all
What if I become less visible to you
If on the floor I start to crawl

Will you feel me there?
Or will I be something you simply step over.

Tissue after tissue are what I pull
They come together and start to pile up
Two tears start to fall
As I close my eyes shut

Sometimes, I wish that I was as invisible
As you make me feel
Something unimaginable
Completely unreal

My tear stained pillow
Has come upon new moistened patches
They've soaked below
The stains, scars of invisible scratches

My hair is a mess
Strands soaked with tears
There is no use combing through the stress
For it will be back soon, building back in me.

And maybe you'll never notice me standing there
Quite a sight to see
My smudged eyeliner, my screwed up hair
A sight invisible to you, and painful to me.

I didn't like it personally but it did have a quality to it that had good wording and a good rhythm throughout. Thought invisible gave it a more powerful way to it.
