Losing my best friend

by Tainted Beauty   Jul 10, 2006

I see you fighting yourself,
In a battle youre struggling to win,
I see the way your heart goes out,
To the enemy conquering from within,

Youre hurting yourself,
Pushing too hard, too fast,
You try to keep it quiet,
With your feeble, smiling act,

Quietly, youll run to your bedroom,
No one ever really understood what for,
They cant see through your smile,
To know youre not ok anymore,

You push yourself to the limit,
Trying harder everyday,
I try to reach out to you,
But you isolate yourself so far away,

You count the calories,
Each one you consume, a horrid sin,
Youre losing your battle for beauty,
A hopeless fight youll never win,

I see you standing there,
Torturing yourself to no end,
This is killing me now,
Because I am losing my best friend.

Aw, that is so sad. I'm sorry about your friend, so many people are faced with that kind of problem in these days. But the poem was really good. Had a nice flow and rhythm and rhymed really well. Great job on this. I hope you find a way to help your friend! Keep it up! 5/5
