Behind My Soul

There is a woman behind my heart
has always been there from the start
loves teasing me when i am in pain
spit on my wounds just to lick once again

there is a little child behind my eyes
my love for him increases with every blink
i crush my desires to erase his cries
for his one fragile smile i would let mine sink

there is someone behind my soul
just standing there and staring at my life ahead
someone who has stood all alone
and prayed for life when I should have been dead

now all these creatures are part of me
yet no one has ever been satisfied
love doesn't look at my way anymore
no matter just how hard i have tried

    I read this a second time. Everytime I reread something of yours I find new meaning behind your words.......what a painful piece you have penned. the pain and dispair brings tears to my eyes.
