The Choice

I see the world through darkened eyes
while none but god can hear my cries
i shed a tear while thinking of
the people I most dearly love

the past once more caught up with me
as words i longed for come to be
awakened in a friend of old
as to my faithfulness I hold

my heart on verge to be in twain
for neither road shall bring less pain
each choice upon a coin one side
of the future personified

to find an answer to this rhyme
i've spent eight day's and nine night's time
in contemplation with myself
as all else rests upon a shelf

emotions swirling deep within
ponder upon what might have been
as well as what will come to be
while now they suface tacitly

one can see the situation
has a tricky complication
two sep'rate roads to but one end
with one a love and one a friend

    I think it's interesting how we have communicated the best about things going on through the things we write on here. Regardless, you really are a very talented writer. Someday you're going to write some beautiful songs to go with your poetry and I hope I'm one of the first to hear them. :)
