A Walk in the Rain

by Macabre   Jul 17, 2006

Your words plow through my soul,
like raindrops pounding the windows.

Your anger rips apart my heart,
like thunder clouds cracking the sky.

Your thoughts contemplate my sanity,
like lightning questioning where to strike next.

Your hate tears my body open,
like electricity sinking into the ground.

Your confusion boggles my mind,
like the quick movement of a passing storm.

Your silent gestures pass me away,
like the sunlight, looking for a brand new day.

When you walk away,
your steps are quick,
stepping all over my pride.
Stepping through this puddle you've made,
left me to die,
and bleed in the streets.
