Falling

by Macabre   Oct 13, 2006

Within your mind burns a simple flame,
Bright and cautious,
No black roses fall on this virgin snow
As it seems
But youve had your share of hell,
And youve had those ghastly spells,
Feeling trapped, alone,
Afraid, forsaken and worried,
Paranoia of free-will
You can fly,
but you wont if you dont open your wings
Lift up the shattered pieces,
And mend the wounds of your heart,
If you are God,
You can make your own choices,
Or will you just slip further like the rest?
Further away from the silver lining,
Further away from desperate dreams of freedom
Souls wander through your path,
And beg you not to continue,
They dont want to see you fall as they did,
They fear that soon, youll begin your descent,
Into the poisonous haze we call this modern day,
Diseased times and present pains,
Eating away at you like cancer,
Draining your spirit, and your will to push forward.
Youre dropping at an angle,
Falling faster by the second,
Please walk back into my shelter,
Let me help you, please.
Break away from your addiction,
To this insanity called darkness,
Let me bring you light, so that you can be guided,
Back to the home you once knew in me.
I hold out my hand, all you need do is to take it,
Hurry before you can\'t reach me,
Don\'t fall.
