The answer is nothing

by InpiredbyEverything   Jul 18, 2006

A man came up to me and said
a riddle for you my dear.
It is so fairly easy,
though it took my mum a year.

What is greater than god, said he
and no it isn't love
it wont make us cry, it wont make us laugh,
and it wont make you rise above.

oh how the rich need it to own the world,
though the world is hard to hold,
and the poor already have it and yet
don't want it, is what I'm told.

The world can run upon it for weeks,
and if you'll eat it you'll die,
the things we want is what it is,
and if you get it you'll cry.

The answer is nothing, to this questionnaire,
its easy to see i say.
But nothing has more meaning,
than it did yesterday.
