Revenge

by Bill Turner   Jul 21, 2006

Screams coming from the trunk
Bouncing around on the floor
They thought I was just some punk
I will more than even the score

He was a little short of cash
He went to them for some time
Instead they staged the crash
Even came to the funeral, the slime

My brother lived his life a little too loud
Got involved in a Peruvian deal gone bad
He should have known better...too proud
Once I finish his son, I will whack the dad

Scratching out a note for my brothers killer
I will soon ship him his son's ugly little face
Like some macabre, distorted thriller
Eliminating the entire family from the human race

His father faces a fate to ugly to say
Smelling salts to keep awake during the pain
Too bad he has to so dearly pay
His blood falling like warm night rain

Then the miserable little worm that did the deed
He will be cut and cauterized over and over
I am out for pain so I will not let him bleed
Then bury him in a field of flowering clover

It will not end with his untimely death
As there is more family to worry about
Each one going to lose their breath
Causing their pathetic family to pout

You know, a lot of the dark poems I read from the younger poets are about blood, gore and other malicious things. Your dark poetry is so different, because it holds more of a true life scenario. You can sense the evil playing out as you read. Great write Bill, it's good to read mature poetry.

Oh wow Bill, this was terrifying! Definately a dark write, scary to say the least.. The story itself was a great read, flowed nicely, and a chilling choice of words. Awesome work!
