The Sun Is Shining

by Nancy   Jul 26, 2006

I wrote this poem for Gregory. He was a young teen that resembled someone I had lost a long time ago.

The sun is shining,
the warmth I feel.
I hear the traffic passing,
the screetching of a wheel.

A big white board,
right in front of me.
So many words,
too many to see.

What had happend,
What did I do?
I am sitting here,
and still have no clue.

I was missing you,
guess a little too much.
The calling never ended,
the hurting was as such.

I needed a child,
a son of my own.
But people are hatefull,
the idea was thrown.

Now I am hurting,
from deep within.
My love for you,
had become a sin.

No one understood,
the feelings I had.
Because of you my child,
life had become sad.

No more beautiful face-
nor brown eyes.
I had given up all hope,
and broken with you all ties.

I'm not sure what this poem was saying... what it was about. Nonetheless, I liked it for some reason and the flow was really good.
