Contradictions

by Thoughtless Consideration   Jul 27, 2006

The sky turns grey
The sun starts to fade.
The grass is brown.
Water stops dripping,
The clock stops ticking.
The black gold runs out,
The smiles turn into pouts.

When the boys wear pink,
And the girls wear black.
And the animals start to think,
And the humans start to slack.
The music is quiet,
The laughter is silent.

This day had to come,
The day when all feelings
Go numb.
