She Cradles Sadness

by Lost & Delirious   Jul 27, 2006

Tender passion escaping from brown eyes,
Leaving infinite stains upon her face.
Illuminating stars grin while she cries,
Awaiting for her enigmatic fate.

It's just another night for this creature,
Only more teardrops feeding her sorrow.
She looks up and sees a blurring future,
A thousand tears will graze her tomorrow.

Then, a trickling smile is hopelessly drawn,
Soothing tears dry and her eyes are closing.
She cradles sadness, waiting for sweet dawn,
Dying hope kisses her and she's dozing.

I love the creativity in this - your words are selected well and they make this piece stand out because they are so original. This piece is incredibly sad, I think the tone in here sounds like one who has given up completely. Very impressive

I love your style of writtening. It's a little diffrent from other poems I have read, and frankly I love it. Each poem I have read you can, see and feel the sadness that you write about.

  • Great..u should make a second...this is very sad...but sadly i know this feeling all 2 well
