Faithful End

I walk in this shadow
Where light leaves me be
I stare at your pale stone
Just one less memory

The leaves fall this autumn
Like your pictures, ages ago
I sit down here by your side
And I still miss you so

Counsellors stare straight at me
Parents say its time to let it lie
Yet I’m still here beside you
And now I start to cry

Some people said I’d forget you
‘She’ll move on’ they’d say
Yet I still lie beside you
As I will till the day

You were cruelly taken from me
But I will see you some day
And that day will be forever
As I love you in every way

I can’t wait for that day
To see your pretty face
Whispers on your lips
Gone without a trace

The rain beats down on me
But it does not bother me pet
For everyday is darkness
Since the day that you left

And I sit here waiting
Forever by your side
I’ll always be here waiting
Until it’s my turn to die
