Human Being

by BrokenMisery   Aug 2, 2006

You're no everlasting man and no immortal soul,
But a human being.
You taught me to love, to hate, to live
And now I'm seeing
You die.

And I miss what the years gave me,
And I miss you by my side.
Hope dies (too young, too fragile),
As our nightmares cried (our tears).

Justice lives in the perfect world we aren't in
In our syringe and sanity pills.
Whilst battle forge on desolate ground,
Between the sunset hills.

Dust blown over blood and bone,
Choking on diaster's sweets
Tasting the chaos we created
By mortal heart beats.

You're no everlasting man and no immortal soul,
But a human being.
You taught me to love, to hate, to live
And now I'm seeing
You die.
