The Hardest Task

Your words cut me deep,
Deeper than they've ever before,
One heart will suffer,
But the other will soar.

For we hurt each other,
In ways we may never notice,
For i aimed the sword to my heart,
But you were the one who forced it.

I tried to forgive,
But never dared to forget,
It's the hardest task ever,
When you're filled with regret.

My tears stilled haven't dried,
For they will last forever,
Are they telling me to leave,
Or for us to stay together.

I tried to understand your side,
But you wouldn't want to confess,
All the feelings you hide,
Through out this whole mess.

My personality may not appear perfect,
And i may hide my thoughts,
My wounds will never heal,
For this was the hardest battle i've ever fought.

Your wickedness flows through my veins,
Giving me a good shock,
My secrets will remain my secrets,
For they will forever be locked.

Confused by your beliefs,
Trampled by your lies,
My soul is buried in grief,
So deeply, it slowly dies.

These are my last words,
My last beat of my heart,
Just tell me what to do,
When it all falls apart.

*i no the ending suckz but i tried my best to end the poem.....i could rite a poem for hours and wouldn't be able to find an ending.....i gotta work on that....thanx for reading....patti*
