Blind

by Mommy And Me   Aug 5, 2006

Dancing on the roof top
sapphire droplets played their lullaby
Singing with the whispering wind
yet she does not hear their song

Streaming down her porcelain face
silver tears stained her cheeks
Crying out in pain
Yet she does not feel them bleed

Painting a picture with the sky
the wind stirred the colors
yellow, orange, and crimson red swirrled through the sunset
Yet she does not view the portrait

The dancing deceit descends upon her mind
Streams of lies could her heart
Painting the colors of her soul
She is blind to what she has become

I'm speechless. I'm not speaking flattery when I say this, I'm speaking truth: You are an AMAZING poet.

I only caught one mistake, and that is in the last stanza. I think it should be "streams of lies cloud" not could :)

I liked this one, it was really good. good thoughts and well written.
the only thing that put me off was the third line in the third stanza, it was too long, and rocked the flow, but overall very good.
