Riddled With Doubt

by Twisted Heart   Aug 5, 2006

Cry me a river
for I've cried one for you.
Each tear that was shed
broke my heart right in two.
From the depths of my soul
a teardrop was heard,
It spoke many volumes
without saying a word.
My heart at deaths door
I was riddled with grief.
I found no solace
No form of relief.
My hope and my trust
was put on display,
and I grieved their passing
when they left me that day.
So cry me a river
and maybe I'll find,
some small consolation
in my skeptical mind.

"broke my heart right in two."

In this line I think you should take out the word 'right'. It will flow alot better.
Also, a couple of your lines ran together so you need to edit it. It's this line:
"I was riddled with grief. I found no solace,"

Other than those two things, the poem is flawless. Lots of uncharted emotion and beautifully written. Keep it up~Holly
