The Minute Before It Rains

by SomeDaysDreamer   Aug 9, 2006

For now
I'll stay quiet
My day of silence will last for weeks
To you
I am sorry to be so quaint
So little patience to your ideals
And I know this situation
Is far from those ideals
But I can't do this today
My dear
I can't sit under those green leaves
Like statues
Breeze like rain on your cheek
And pretend we are forgiven
When you say,
When you say to put these differences
Behind us all
I wish I knew what I am supposed to forget
Why I am being expected
To act like nothing happened
So I need time
I need time, time
Seconds, minutes, hours, days
Tick, tock, tick, tock
Weeks, months, years, eternities
Tick, tock, tick, tock
My clouded, grey-black, thunder skies
Have fallen
My reign as cheering up, happier,
Happiest I've been
Has ended
I can only feel these crystal blue stones
Vaguely
As we sit so still
As we stare so emotionlessly
So for now
I'll stay quiet
To hear the time that passes
In the minute before it rains
But then there's that word again
Time
Spoken of and felt so heavily
As if you could actually breathe in
Like humid, stingey air
Those moments taking place
In time
Saying, saying, speaking,
You tell me these bad things will pass
In time
Time, time, time
I'm tired of time
People always have
Too much
Too little
Too short
Not, long, enough
All only just dust on the wind
Not special, not unique,
Only time
So for now
I'll stay quiet.

I liked this ,it was emotional and you could hear the frustration. I liked the line "the minute before it rained" I have one called"celestial tears" I`d like to hear what you think.
