Deep Between The Lines

by Razorblade   Aug 10, 2006

Nothing can be a secret anymore
Nothing can just be mine
Everything must always eventually cause a problem
That nothing can solve--not even time

I don't know what the big deal is
A few heart-felt moment-expressing poems to help the soul
Just because it expresses sadness
Doesn't mean my life is year round cold

But no, a sad poem must mean I'm depressed
A happy one must mean I'm perfect
A disturbing one about death must mean I'm deranged and dark
A love one must mean I'm a hopeless romantic

It can't just be a poem to help me deal
It's gotta have some secret meanings, deep between the lines
Nothing is simple like when I was younger
Everything always changes, but why weren't there any signs?

Wow. this is an amazing poem that really shows that sometimes poetry isn't always about what we're doing, it's more of how we're feeling. 5/5
