The Inkwell's Dry

by Twisted Heart   Aug 11, 2006

With paper here in front of me
My pen is poised, I watch the clock
But not a sentence do I see
I'm suffering from Writer's Block.

So many titles come to rest
I write them all upon this page
Imagination, all but dead
Muddled words inside me rage.

Now a word or two are clear
But none that make a thought
So with pen, I'm sitting here
Wallowing in Writer's Block.

I can so relate to this-I went through almost a 5 year writer's block, but at least you were able to fashion a poem out of it and that is a start. It is a very frustrating phase to go through, but it will pass.Everyone goes through it at some point.Just keep on keeping on and you will break through.Best of luck!
