Learning To Fall

by Ashleigh Skye   Aug 11, 2006

Every day I see you falling,
plummeting toward the ground,
jumping without a reason,
without a warning, or a sound.

I've seen the way you prepare,
as you walk in a trance to the fall,
blocking out all the sights and sounds,
becoming so very small.

I know each and every sign,
and I know what to avoid,
yet still I'm becoming more and more like you,
bitter, destructive, and destroyed.

Now I walk the same path in your footsteps,
only this time the cliff belongs to me,
breaking down with every step,
falling for eternity.

Another great one.. but not my favorite.. the flow was off in the seconde and third stanza .. but besides that the rhyme was good and the idea was as well

    i loved this stanza

    breaking down with every step,
    falling for eternity."
