Big Blue Ball

by RainbowSlider   Aug 15, 2006

A desert covered in ocean;
A desert covered in air.
I had this crazy notion
that someday I'd go there.
Just an alien thought
that came to my head.
I might get caught;
something to dread.
Space can be so black
and emptiness so evolved;
I will guard my back
until problems are solved.
Its just a big blue ball.
When you have seen one
you have seen them all.
But wouldn't it be fun
just to see whats there.
Could it contain answers
and I am just unaware?
I am just a necromancer.
Why do they always stare?
Space can be beautiful.
The void can be a friend.
The vastness is wonderful.
Time waits for no alien.
So long to one and all.
I turned around my ship.
Good bye, big blue ball.
You sure were a trip.

    Heh, i like the first 4 lines. they catch the attention, which is good in a poem that appears to be longer - it gives you will to read on
