Daunted By Truth

by Natalie   Aug 18, 2006

Languishing memories wandering,
With many distant solitude thoughts,
Painted pictures freezing over time,
Compelling lips to tie double knots.

Should I speak of truth?

No, I can't.

Carnage words forsaking emotions,
Immersing dilemmas beyond sight,
Daunted by truth in need of repairing,
Battling a constant contagious fight.

Should I just give up?

No, I can't.

Baffling days seem to be hopeless,
Mistakes carve into walls built around,
Scorching all pure, innocent beauty,
Framed portraits stay left on the ground.

Should I show my pain?

No, I can't.

Distracted faces turn and walk away,
Ashamed from unworthy familiar lies,
Rivalry's between false and honesty,
Go unheard along with tears she cries.

......I think I'm afraid of telling the truth.
