Two Cents

by Death By Stereo   Aug 24, 2006

If I give you my two cents
Why hand it back in disgust?
Why put up such a defense,
And not allow me your trust

I was only trying to help,
A crooked fence to mend
So you have no need to yelp
I was trying to be a friend

Take the two cents back I gave
And save them for a rainy day
Help the next person out their grave
And get them on their way

This good deed pays in the end
They almost always do
So don't always try to befriend
Someone who cares so much for you
