Seeking Hope

by VioletRaven   Aug 29, 2006

Glancing o'er the words of others,
Finding no solace in their shadowed, insinuated obscurity,
Connotations of mutual emotion,
But empathy fails to compare,
To the subtle perceptive truths I seek.
That mirror in whose subtle depths,
My silver shade has not been glimpsed.
The fragile reflection of a dreamer,
In delicate reality balances,
Dancing toward elusive hope,
Cautious anticipation,
Wary of delusion,
Too often misguided in trust.

No partial acceptance of actions unspoken,
Can free the caged spirit,
Of the guilt for the self-deprecating deeds,
Nor the sanctimonious ritualistic forgiveness,
Of an isolated darkened mind.

Ramblings of a tormented soul,
Nonsense to eyes unburned by nature's truth,
But for the hearts bleak of hope,
And minds poisoned by the burden of she,
Heartache shall find them,
When dazzled they stand in the glimmer of her lies.
