Fall of Society (a collab with Meena)

Like the golden glow of the setting sun
Does this time represent the fall of man?
Western civilization and ideas are on the run
Cast aside by the blood red glow in our life span

As the voiceless night takes its place on earth
Does the world sleep in confidence it will see tomorrow?
Old ways are put to test as new ideas take birth
Feeding our inner darkness with doubts and sorrow

Society stands on the precipice of change
Some being pushed, others running to the brink
Lives, cultures and social mores will rearrange
Some stand tall, while many shy away and shrink

Character and behaviors alter as unforgiving times rise
Truths somehow seem to vanish whenever greed erupts
Society blindly falls without thinking in lies disguise
While young hearts and minds consume seeds of the corrupt

Repeating history, lessons left upon the cold floor
Everyone out for themselves abandoning their brother
Selling their values and souls like a brazen hure*
Everything has a price it seems, even dear old mother

While the world drowns in senseless and unwarranted wars
Future generations dangle in the crossfire of existence
Seams of family bonds rip and shatter as blood pours
Will peace ever knock on our doors or forever stand at a distance?
