A TRUE GODDESS

A True Goddess
By Letty
I'm a true goddess inside and out, at least thats the reminder
I say to myself each and every day.

I deserve to be treated like the royalist of princesses
In each and every way.

I play the role perfectly whenever someones around.
But when Im alone reality kicks in, and knocks
Me straight down to the ground.

Im a true goddess I say to those who would treat
Me as if I were anything less.

But then they remind me of those unfortunate days,
And they put me to a test.

Do you need love? Is one of the questions that they ask.
And I'll reply by saying yes.

But I need peace, kindness and understanding too, so that I can
Put my mind to rest.

You think too much; is what my mom says.
Whenever I'm looking down.
And I'll say to her: that I'm waiting patiently for
That old saying, what goes around comes back around.
