I'm still learning

From heartache to heart break
I'm making my way
Making mistakes
And learning everyday

Falling a few times
Getting back up
Realising when it's wrong
To test my luck

Hurting people
Who once hurt me
Learning that revenge
Only brings misery

Taking two steps forward
Ending up three steps back
Trying to make up for
The things that I lack

Shedding some tears
As people I love leave
Knowing that not all smiles
Will leave you deceived

I'm growing up so fast
Learning so much
Life's still getting harder
And I'm losing touch

Not quite sure where I'm going
Or where I'll forever be
But taking note of everything
All the lessons learned in me

But still the most important
That I will ever learn
Is you don't know what love is
Until you get burned
