Memories

I lie awake at night and recall
How it used to be.
Me so much in love with you
And you in love with me.

I remember how the good times
Far outweighed the bad.
I remember how I made you laugh
Whenever you felt sad.

Memories are all I have now
Since you went away
You said you found somebody new
And that you couldn't stay.

My heart and soul went with you
And I don't know what I'll do now
Friends say I'll get over you
But I really don't know how.

Time heals all wounds,or so they say
I guess they must be right
Cause after many lonely years
I can finally sleep at night.

But memories sneak back in
Every now and then
To make me wish we could go back
And start all over again.

    Everyone says time will make things better but thats not always sometimes it could make it worse...i was always told that if you really loved a person you would just let them go cuz thats what they would want but you would never forget them and you hold them in your heart....good poem 4/5 take care
