Forgive Me?

by Macabre   Sep 6, 2006

Crying out from my heart, striking the air with pure force,
vibrant colors in deep shades of repent,
remorse for wrongdoings, now lost in the valleys of depression,
I pray that the stars help me back home...
To be comforted once again by blanket-soft eyes,
and the soul I so tragically drowned in my ego.
I droned out your words, and buried them in the ground,
I took not the advice I came for,
I remain a mirror with no reflection,
only an image of lies, deceit, and hate stare back,
into these cold eyes, you dare to stare, where only darkness exists.
Please forgive me.
Take me back once more to mountain springs,
let me walk in depths of your mind once more,
let me taste the cool water from the waterfall from the soul on weary lips,
I see you're tired of wading in this shallow pool..
So, once more,
let me refresh our mind, body and spirit,
and let us walk on the clouds into the blue.
Forgive me...
Take me once more into the blue skies, where we once flew,
no worries, our wings took us past the odds,
but as of late we'd fallen down to earth, stumbling on the roots of our problems,
we couldn't rip them out,
but we can free ourselves, let's restart,
forgive me.
Take me back to the point where we found love,
a trust in our passion, where we lived eternally...
Forgive me?
