Because I cant hear

People dont understand
They never have
I've been half deaf
My whole life
New school
New grade
New people
Endless of them
Staring back at me
Wondering whats wrong with me
Some ask
"Why do you have those in your ears?"
Or
"Whats that around your neck?"
I dont mind them asking
But its hard to really tell them what it is
But what really hurts is
When they stare at me
And when I become the butt of jokes
Sometimes I feel like just hiding away
I dont have real friends
That would actually sit and talk with me
Without running to see who else
They can sit with just to not be seen with me
I know what your thinking
Is she dumb or something
By writing this
But Im telling you all
I have an F.M system at school
Because I cant hear

    (( I don't understand this part, I won't lie..))

    Otherwise, I'll be nice for once and won't critic your poem like I normally would -- But critic is what makes you a stronger writer.

    With that said, I loved this poem.. It was full of emotion and told a sad story that most just don't see how hard it can be for you. If you ever want a helping hand, I'm here.
